What Retailer Approval Means

To gain status as an retailer approved Volkswagen, every used Volkswagen that comes through our doors undergoes a number of strict checks to ensure each car represents the high Volkswagen standards.

Before any of our used vehicles are put on display, we subject it to a rigorous multipoint check, validation check, mileage check, service history check and full vallet. Any defaults that may have been discovered are fully rectified by a Volkswagen trained technician using only Volkswagen original parts. As a final check, each car is taken on a thorough road test.

At Trust Group we're so sure of the reliabilty of all our used cars that if during the first 30 days of ownership a fault occurs with your vehicle, then you may exchange your vehicle for another. Vehicle Validation

Every retailer approved car is checked against the following criteria to help ensure that no hidden areas may affect your purchase:

  • Vehicle identity - make, model, colour, engine size and number, door plan, fuel type and transmission as recorded by the DVLA.
  • Date of first registration - with the DVLA.
  • Finance - is there any outstanding finance?
  • Condition alert - has there been a total loss claim?
  • Stolen vehicle check - has the vehicle been reported missing?
  • Plate transfer - do any transfers hide a dubious history?

Multipoint Inspection

Before we put any of our used cars on display, we make sure it’s been through a thorough inspection by our skilled technicians.

This inspection covers:

  • Interior security check for operation and damage
  • Check doors for operation/damage
  • Visual check of exterior for damage
  • Check boot/luggage area
  • Under bonnet - for leaks and damage
