The Skoda Kodiaq had a great review in 2018, winning Car of the Year in the recent Honest John satisfaction index. The Kodiaq GT announcement in November also drew a lot of attention thanks to sleek design improvements over the original model.

In 2019, the Kodiaq is only going to get better with the new vRS model becoming available and we have to say it looks fantastic and has the performance to match its new look. The new VRS model standard specification model is packed to the rafters with not only great defining features externally but it also has some great new additions internally.

The VRS comes with 20” Xtreme alloy wheels, red brake callipers along with the traditionally stunning small touches such as the glossy black grill, the sleek vRS front bumper, dual exhausts and the vRS branding style to match the Kodiaq.

Tech wise, you can expect to be utilising the virtual cockpit to enhance your driving experience. Keyless start and stop, front parking sensors and front assist are just some of the smart features you can expect in the new Kodiaq VRS.

While features are important, so is comfort and style. The interior features Alcantara sports seats with vRS stitching featuring in both the seats and door panels. Did we mention that the front sports seats are also heated? It’s a great feature for driving in comfort during those cold mornings. The steering and dashboard have all been adapted to match the same style including the steering wheel. Ambient LED lighting, tinted windows, stainless steel pedals all round up the VRS design.

Performance wise, the Kodiaq VRS is sporting a powerful 237bhp 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine with a 4x4 DSG transmission that can achieve a top speed of 137mph. Peak performance is also applied to the fuel consumption with a WLTP fuel of 34 – 35.3mpg. Progressive steering, great engine performance, dynamic chassis control, front brake calipers and rear disc brakes ensure that you feel that you get that sporty performance no matter where you are driving. The Kodiaq VRS currently holds the lap record for a 7-seater SUV on the Nürburgring completing the 12.94-mile track in just 9 minutes and 29.84 seconds

The dynamic sound booster and synthesiser ensure that you can really enjoy the noise from the sporty engine. It adds that extra aural excitement to your drive even if you aren’t driving around the Nürburgring every weekend. It will certainly be nice to hear the extra vroom as you accelerate from 0-60mph in just 7 seconds.

In 2018, the Kodiaq left a lasting impression on everyone and created a great legacy. One that will continue onwards with the new vRS model. You won’t have to wait too long to get your hands on one, contact our sales team today to find out more about the stunning Kodiaq VRS.
