Fresh from winning the What Car? Car of the Year Awards 2019 Estate car of the year, the Skoda Superb is about to get much better. Skoda have announced that the Superb is getting a brand-new facelift. The new Superb will include new LED matrix headlights, a new front bumper and a radiator grille.  

 

It will also feature additional tweaks including a brand-new infotainment system, a brand-new digital instrument cluster and a retrimmed interior. The rear of the Superb will also feature a new chrome boot-lid, tweaked rear lamps and new Skoda spaced letter badging on the tailgate.

 

Customers will be able to choose from three petrol or three diesel options for the newly redesigned Superb.  Performance wise, the petrol version of the Superb will be featuring a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine delivering 148bhp, a 0-62mph time of 8.7 seconds and a top speed of 135mph. Alternatively, if you are looking for a much bigger engine, there will be two turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder options available in different configurations. The lower powered version will output 188bhp will the higher spec configuration will output 268bhp. Both can be fitted with a seven-speed DSG with the higher spec model also featuring all-wheel drive as a standard feature.

 

Skoda hasn’t forgotten about those who have a preference for diesel engine cars. The lowest option will offer a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine with an output of 118bhp and feature a seven-speed DSG with front wheel drive.  There will also be two 2.0 litre configurations available with outputs of 148bhp and 188bhp respectively. The highest spec version also allows the customer to choose from a four-wheel or front-drive version.

The revised Superb and new engine models should be available later this year. Skoda also revealed some new models within the Skoda range and we will have more information on those for you soon.
