The Skoda Monte Carlo trims have always shared a special relationship with the Monte Carlo Rally, a long-standing association that stretches back over 100 years. In 1936, the Skoda Popular reached second place in the rally which led to 70 limited edition models being released. This began the start of the Monte Carlo model tradition.
In recent times, the second-generation Fabia was given the Monte Carlo treatment and designation in 2011. This was then followed by the designation being applied to the CITIGO, RAPID, RAPID SPACEBACK and the YETI with the third generation of the Skoda Fabia also given the Monte Carlo makeover.
The Skoda Monte Carlo trims and designations are set to continue with the recently released Scala and the upcoming Skoda Kamiq set to receive the prestigious Monte Carlo makeover. The Scala will have additional sporty accents added to it along with various details in the front apron making the Scala design appear more dynamic and emotive.
The Kamiq Monte Carlo variant will include various additional details such as black roof rails, both with include a brand-new special Monte Carlo badging.
We can’t wait to see these two new models get the Monte Carlo treatment but sadly we will have to wait until the official unveiling of both models which will take place at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show between the 10th and the 22nd of September.
