Wolverhampton - Stourbridge - Redditch

Early this year, the first entry in the ID range was unveiled and made available for pre-order. The new all-electric ID. 3 hatchback has received a lot of praise for its stylish looks and its potential range capabilities.

While the ID. 3 won’t be rolling out till 2020, the biggest question is how does it perform and drive?  The ID. 3 does still have some secrets left to be revealed, the prototype has been made available for industry journalists to test drive.

Industry publication Autocar was lucky enough to take the ID. 3 for a test drive to see how the new all-electric hatchback would drive and perform.  The model-driven was around 70-80% of the final production model which should give a good insight into the final model. You can see what Autocar had to say about their test drive experience in the video below.

This early review of the ID. 3 earned a 4.5-star rating which is especially impressive for a car that is not quite finished and still has around a year to go before we see it hit the roads.

This marks a positive start for the first entry in the ID range of which 15,000 pre-orders were received within the first week of pre-order being opened across Europe. The UK will receive 30,000 special edition models of the ID. 3 which can be pre-ordered with a £750 deposit (refundable).

The ID. 3 will receive a full launch at the Frankfurt Motor show later this year and will include more details on the ID. 3 features and details of how the launch process and delivery will work.
