Mrs Tyrell received a bottle of Champagne for being Trust Group Skoda Wolverhampton's first customer and buying an Octavia vRS Estate.
Mrs Tyrell who is a huge fan of the Skoda brand had a few words to say regarding her experience with Skoda;
''I bought a brand a new car in 2003 anticipating a high mileage for both work and leisure. My requirements were: economy, reliability, safety, and room for rear passenger comfort, plus roof rails (to carry sea kayaks) and enough luggage space for climbing, canoeing & camping kit as well as the usual household and DIY paraphernalia!
Research led me to the Fabia 1.9TDi Estate which was What Car car of the year and pipped the SEAT and VW competitors on space and price respectively.
10 years on it has covered over 196,000 hard miles and other than repair/replacement of a few worn out parts is still going strong, rarely returning less than 50mpg and often 55-60mpg.
Looking ftoward a future car we wanted something a bit larger to more comfortably tow a heavy trailer and the Octavia was the obvious choice, its reliability and performance clearly proven by the thousands we see as taxis and police cars. My husband liked the spec of the VRS and by coincidence there was one on the forecourt when we dropped the Fabia off at the new Skoda dealership for service''.
